Notice of Newly enacted Town Zoning Ordinance

NOTICE OF NEWLY ENACTED TOWN ZONING ORDINANCE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, on January 7, 2014, the St. Croix County Board approved the Town of Forest Zoning Ordinance, Ordinance No. 2013-4 which the Forest Town Board approved on October 15, 2013, and submitted to the St. Croix County Board for its approval as required by Wisconsin statutes. The Town Zoning Ordinance establishes zoning classifications and districts in the Town, including Residential, Agricultural, Agricultural-Residential, Commercial, Conservancy, and Mineral Extraction. It establishes Permitted Uses and Conditional Uses in each district. It establishes performance standards for adult establishments, animal housing and waste storage structures, commercial kennels home occupations, fences, junkyards, salvage yards, contractors storage yards, mobile homes, mini-storage facilities. The Ordinance includes a zoning map which shows the zoning classification for all land in the Town. The ordinance establishes a Board of Appeals which may grant variances to certain provisions of the ordinance and also hear appeals of administrative decisions under the ordinance. It establishes the position of Zoning Administrator for administering the ordinance. It establishes penalties and other remedies for violating the ordinance. It establishes procedures for applying for permits, variances, appeals, and for amending the ordinance. A separate fee resolution establishes fees and administrative deposits for applying for permits, appeals, variances, rezonings, and other actions under the ordinance.
